At the nursery, we empower children to take the lead in their learning journey through our dynamic Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. By placing children at the heart of the experience, we encourage them to explore topics that spark their curiosity and ask meaningful questions. Our educators then guide pupils in discovering creative solutions through hands-on investigation, collaboration, critical thinking and making real-world connections.

This end-of-year Project Exhibition celebrates their discoveries, showcasing how young learners dive deep into exploration, turning their ideas into meaningful learning adventures. Join us in witnessing the incredible potential of every unique learner.

Area A. Save the Sea Animals

and Sustainability

Dive into our young environmentalists' mission to protect ocean life and promote sustainability! Walking through this section of the Exhibition to witness children’s exploration of the delicate balance of marine ecosystems and the impact of human actions, like plastic pollution and overfishing. They investigated sustainable alternatives—such as creating art from recycled materials, designing reusable products and organising a ‘zero-waste’ challenge. Their hands-on experiments and heartfelt advocacy posters showcase their commitment to preserving our planet. Children learned how to care for the animals who are injured, showcasing their values of kindness and responsibility. Witness how their small steps today inspire big changes for a greener tomorrow!

Area B - Of a Child and the World

Step into the wild as our young explorers unveil the wonders of animal habitats! From rainforests to Arctic tundras, children investigated how creatures adapt to their environments. Delving into the intricate hexagonal patterns of honeycombs to the adaptive designs of beehives in different climates, and discovering how bees engineer their homes with precision, blending innovation with sustainability. They built dioramas of beehives and bird nests, experimented with rubber gloves to understand polar bear insulation. Through role-play and research, they learned about habitat destruction and designed conservation signs to protect local wildlife.

The journey then dives beneath the waves, emphasising the vital importance of ocean conservation. Learning how plastic pollution threatens marine life and what we can do, from reducing single-use plastics to properly separating waste, to protect our seas. From investigating pretend robberies and crimes, the children put on their detective hats and scouted for animals with ‘special powers’ to join their crime-solving team. Whether it was the speed of a cheetah, the keen eyesight of a hawk, or the unique skin of a hammerhead shark, they made meaningful connections between these traits and their own features and growth. Let's celebrate their discoveries, empathy and newfound connections to the world around them!

Area C. Animal Habitats

Walking through this section of the Exhibition, witness how our learners, inspired by the Australian tale Wombat Stew and Aboriginal culture, compare their personal milestones, like measuring their height and documenting lost teeth, with the natural world’s cycles. They planted seeds to observe roots and shoots, tracked weather patterns and interviewed community elders about ‘how things used to be’. Their collaborative masterpiece, adorned with handprint leaves and photos, symbolises the interconnectedness of life, much like the Aboriginal symbols they used to craft imaginative ‘zing’ stories. Through storytelling, music (including the joyful Kookaburra Sits on the Old Gum Tree) and journals, they have discovered that just as they need care to thrive, so does our planet—celebrating creativity, culture and the wonders of nature together.

Area D. I Have a Dream (Graduates)

Celebrate the boundless dreams of our graduates! In this heartfelt journey, children envisioned their futures through travelling to the past, through art, interviews with community heroes and imaginative play. The time machine travelled to 2000 years ago to Pompeii, followed by the Silk Road in China 600 years ago. Time then landed on a coconut island in Africa, where another dream story was told, before it shifted to the Titanic times. This section of the Exhibition culminates in a time capsule, capturing their giggles, wisdom and promises to ‘always be kind’. Their dreams remind us that the greatest journeys begin with wonder and courage, and we look forward to seeing our graduates' next chapter embark soon.
